World Cancer Day 2021: These 8 Things Can Help Fight Cancer

New Delhi: World Cancer Day is celebrated on February 4 every year. The purpose of this day is to make people aware about cancer. No food or drink can completely prevent cancer, but some foods contain anti-cancer ingredients and eating them reduces the risk of cancer. Let us know about these issues.

Colorful fruits and vegetables- Fruits and vegetables are considered to be very useful in the fight against cancer. Many types of nutrients are found in fruits and vegetables of different colors. Fruits and vegetables reduce the risk of all types of cancer. Include dark red, green and orange vegetables in your diet.

Folate Items- Folate is an important vitamin B that protects against colon, rectum and breast cancer. Add as much folate as possible to your breakfast. Eat orange juice, watermelon and strawberries to increase the amount of folate. Also eggs, beans, sunflower seeds and spinach are very good sources of folate.

Tomato- According to research, lycopene found in tomatoes protects against prostate and many other cancers. In addition, processed foods such as tomato juice, sauce or paste enhance the ability to fight cancer.

Green tea- Green tea is considered to be very helpful in the fight against cancer. Studies have shown that green tea protects against cancer of the colon, liver, breast and prostate cells. It also has a good effect on lung tissue and skin. Green tea also reduces the risk of bladder, stomach and pancreatic cancer.

Grapes- Grapes and their juices contain a compound called reveratrol. Resveratrol has strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Resveratrol protects cells from damage caused by cancer.

Water and other liquids- Water not only quenches thirst but also prevents bladder cancer. Increasing the amount of fluid in the diet increases urination and because of this the bladder is always clean which reduces the chances of cancer.

Rajma- Rajma (Kidney Bean) has anti-cancer properties. They contain many beneficial phytochemicals that protect cancer cells from damage. Studies have shown that nutrients found in kidney beans prevent tumor growth.

Cabbage- Broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage are all types of cabbage. The nutrients found in these cabbages protect the body from all types of cancer. You can eat them lightly fried or added to your diet as a salad.
