Uttarakhand Assembly Election 2022: General Bipin Rawat's brother Col. Vijay Rawat joins BJP

Uttarakhand Assembly Election 2022: Retired Colonel Vijay Rawat, brother of the country’s first CDS General Bipin Rawat, today joined the BJP. Giving information about this, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Colonel Vijay Rawat, inspired by the party’s ideology, has decided to join the BJP. His entry into the party will further strengthen the state BJP.

After joining the BJP, Col. Vijay Rawat, brother of the late CDS Bipin Rawat, thanked everyone for joining the party and praised Prime Minister Modi, saying that his thinking and outlook was amazing. ۔ Earlier on Wednesday, Colonel Vijay Rawat (retd) also met Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Delhi. Since then, there has been speculation that he will join the party.

The BJP is not in a good position in Uttarakhand and joining such a party could be beneficial for the party. Uttarakhand in particular has a significant number of veterans and recruits. Their clear vote can be very beneficial for any party. The eyes of all parties are on this vote bank. The Aam Aadmi Party has even made a former army officer the face of the Chief Minister. Let me tell you that there are 70 seats in the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly and 36 seats will be needed to form a government. The state will go to the polls on February 14 and the results will be announced on March 10.
