Tomato Fever HFMD Virus: In the outbreak of Tomato Fever or Tomato Fever in Kerala, some health experts have suggested that in case of fever / flu in South India it is not tomato flu but hand, foot and mouth disease. What is hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD)

Since HFMD is a contagious disease, it usually spreads from one infected person to another. The virus can be transmitted from an infected person to others. It can be spread by secretions from the nose and throat, such as saliva, saliva or nasal mucus, blisters or crusts.

Liquid soap for hand washing: Children should be encouraged to wash their hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

Clean and disinfectant: All surfaces that come in close and frequent contact should be disinfected at regular intervals.

Do not touch eyes, mouth or nose: A child can get hand, foot and mouth disease if they have the virus in their hand and then they touch your eyes, nose or mouth.

How HFMD can be treated

If a child has symptoms of HFMD, they should be taken to a doctor immediately and given water from time to time.
