After passing BA from Meerut College in 1957, he moved to Mumbai to do something different. There he worked at the airport for many years. All in all, one day he got a chance in Bollywood. Over time, he has worked with artists like Dharmendra, Manoj Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Amal Palekar.
