The Tashkent Files Trailer: ‘The Tashkent Files’ Trailer Released, Picture Questioning the Death of Lal Bahadur Shastri

Mumbai. The trailer of Vivek Agnihotri’s movie ‘The Tashkent Files’ has been released. The film raises questions about the mysterious death of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. The film is based on a true story about the death of Lal Bahadur Shastri. The film stars Nasiruddin Shah, Mithun Chakraborty, Shweta Basu, Pankaj Tripathi, Binoy Pathak, Mandira Bedi, Pallabi Joshi, Ankur Rathi and Prakash Belawari in the lead roles. The film will be released on April 12.
The film’s trailer begins with the question of whether the prime minister of the world’s largest democracy went to Tashkent to sign a treaty, where he died under suspicious circumstances. Although many questions were raised about this suspicious death, no committee was formed to investigate his death. From the beginning to the end of the trailer, all the actors are seen asking the same question, how did he die? In the trailer, Mithun Chakraborty’s character is seen saying, “Whether Shastri is dead or not, it is the ink on the face of this country which no government has tried to eradicate in 50 years.”
This is the Tashkent file
During the Indo-Pakistani war in 1966, the United States and Russia summoned Shastriji to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, for an agreement. A peace treaty was signed between India and Pakistan on 10 January 1966 in Tashkent. Shastriji died on January 11, one day after the signing of the ceasefire agreement. Many have called it a heart attack while others have called it a homicide. Shastriji was not autopsied, so the mystery of his death remained elusive.
