Shah Rukh’s cousin will contest elections in Pakistan
Peshawar. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s cousin Nur Jahan is set to test his luck in the upcoming general elections in Pakistan. He will run as an independent candidate in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa state assembly elections. According to the Express Tribune, Nur Jahan, who received nomination papers from the Election Commission on Thursday, will be contesting from PK-6 constituency in Peshawar.
“My goal is to work for women’s empowerment. I will look at the problems in my constituency,” she said. Nur Jahan has come to Mumbai twice to meet Shah Rukh. He has become a mentor. His brother Mansoor, who is campaigning for Nur Jahan, said his family was part of the Khudai Khidmatgar movement. Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan led this movement against the British rule.
