Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was stopped at Mumbai Airport Customs on Saturday after authorities discovered he had several expensive watches and other items in his possession.
As a result of an Apple Watch and six other expensive electronic devices found in their luggage, Khan and other passengers with him were detained by the Customs Department on their journey from Sharjah to Mumbai. A thorough search revealed that Shah Rukh Khan was carrying expensive items worth Rs 17.85 lakh after the Air Intelligence Unit at Chhatrpati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) screened their luggage.
Based on this estimate, Shah Rukh Khan and his group were charged a fee of Rs 6.83 lakh, or roughly 38.5 percent, and were permitted to leave this afternoon. Khan had traveled to Sharjah to attend the Sharjah International Book Fair 2022 when the private jet from Sharjah landed at CSMIA at 12.50 a.m.
