The battery of the mobile started running out which made people upset. Taking note of the matter, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had asked the Chief Engineer, Power Department to appear before it. The Chandigarh High Court was informed on the strike of power workers that the power supply of the entire city would be restored by 10 pm. So far, 80 percent of the electricity has been restored. The technical wing of the army is busy restoring power.

The High Court has made it clear that the matter is a complete insult, while the matter is pending in the High Court, it is totally wrong for the employees of the power department to go on strike. The High Court adjourned the hearing of the case till Thursday and said that first the power supply of the entire city should be restored and further orders would be issued tomorrow. In such a situation, the administration has started action under ESMA to end the strike of power employees. Police have also arrested four leaders of power workers’ organizations.
