Police have announced a reward of Rs 25,000 each for seven people, including Atiq Ahmed’s son, in an extortion case.
UP News: The problems of Uttar Pradesh’s Bahubali and Mafia Atiq Ahmed are not diminishing. Now, the UP police has announced a reward of Rs 25,000 each for seven other accused, including Atiq Ahmed’s son, in the murder and extortion case. The award is given to Ali, the youngest son of Atiq Ahmed. Atiq Ahmed’s son is facing several charges including attempted murder and extortion. Ali Ahmed made headlines after demanding Rs 50 million from a businessman. This case is from December last year. Atiq Ahmed is currently serving his sentence in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail.
A case was registered against Ali on December 21, 2021 at Prayag Raj’s Kareli police station and he has been on the run ever since. Let me tell you that in the Prayag Raj of Uttar Pradesh, once Bahubali used to talk about Atiq Ahmed, but this time he is not in the fray. From 1989 to 2017, Atiq Ahmed and his family members contested from Prayag Raj. This is the first time in three decades that neither Atiq Ahmed himself is contesting this Assembly election nor any member of his family is involved in the election arena.
Despite being in jail, Atiq Ahmad Asaduddin joined Owaisi’s All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-e-Muslimeen (AIMIM). Let me tell you that Atiq Ahmed won the first independent election from Prayag Raj West Assembly seat in 1989. After that he continued to contest elections on SP, his heart’s ticket and continued to win Assembly and Parliament.
Nine people, including Ali, have been nominated by the property dealer.
A property dealer had registered a case against Ali, the nominee and some unknown persons at Kreli police station in Prayag Raj city. Police arrested two people and sent them to jail. Seven suspects are still at large in the case.
These are the accused who attacked to ask for extortion or not to give.
Apart from Ali Ahmed, the other accused in the case of extortion and non-payment include Muhammad Asad, Arif alias Kasuli, Sanjay Singh, Kullu, Aman and Imran alias Guddu. All of them are residents of Dhoomanganj, Mithiganj, Khaldabad, Shahganj and Kreli police station areas. Late on Monday night, a reward of Rs 25,000 was announced for all of them. After that, on Tuesday morning, raids were carried out at various places.
