PAN card. These days, the government has made PAN card mandatory in any financial activity. From filling out an ITR to opening a demat account, the PAN card has become mandatory for everyone. We’ve seen people make their PAN card after they turn 18, but now you can make one before you reach 18. If you want to get your child’s PAN card, you can apply online. The important thing here is that no one can apply for a minor PIN card directly, for this the parents of the child have to apply on their behalf.
If you are under 18 years of age, this is the principle of making PAN card.
To apply for a PAN card online, first visit the NSDL website (https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html).
Here, after selecting the correct category of applicant, all personal information has to be filled and other necessary documents including proof of age of the minor and photo of parents have to be uploaded.
Here parents will also have to upload their signatures and pay a fee of Rs. 107.
You will then receive 1 receipt number, which you can use to check the status of the application.
After applying online for a PAN card, you will receive an e-mail with your e-mail ID.
After verification of documents, PAN card will be delivered to your home within 15 days.
