National Herald case: In the National Herald case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. This action has been taken in money laundering case. According to official information, the Enforcement Directorate has summoned interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party MP Rahul Gandhi in connection with the National Herald case. The case was closed by the investigating agency in 2015. The two leaders have been given a June 8 production date.

After this news came to light, the Congress held a press conference and presented its position. Party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that the government was afraid of the Congress and was bent on dictatorship. According to Surjewala, the summons is illegal. On the other hand, Congress leader Abhishek Mano Singhvi said that all this was happening at the behest of the central government to divert public attention from inflation and unemployment. The Congress or its leaders need not fear.

Congress leader Adat Raj has also said that the government is using ED to intimidate opposition leaders. Congress will strongly oppose it. Earlier, Congress leaders Pawan Bansal and Malkarjan Kharge were also summoned. Let me tell you that Subramanyam Swamy has taken this whole matter to court. After the summons was issued, Subramanyam Swamy said that this was bound to happen. This is a big case against the Congress leaders.

At the same time, BJP leaders say that the ED is a constitutional body which is working on its own accord. The Congress ED has no objection to issuing notices to the common man, but when its leaders receive notices, the Constitution is in jeopardy.
