The United Farmers Front (SKM) today formed a five-member committee to talk to the Government of India. It will be an authorized body to talk to the government. The committee will consist of Balbir Singh Rajival, Shiv Kumar Kaka, Gurnam Singh Charoni, Yudhovir Singh and Ashok Dhawale. Rakesh Takit said that the next meeting of the front would be held on December 7. A meeting of Muttahida Kisan Morcha was held on Saturday in which five names have been decided to talk to the government on MSP. According to farmer leaders, farmers are currently suffering due to lack of support for MSP. They also face financial losses. For this reason, if the government really wants the betterment of the farmers, it should improve the economic situation by enacting a law on MSP as soon as possible. The Modi government at the Center had introduced three new agricultural laws for the betterment of the farmers, after which the farmers expressed their displeasure. Shortly afterwards, the peasant movement began. The central government has withdrawn all three laws. The government told the farmers that now that the laws have been withdrawn, the protests should end. Farmers leaders here are adamant that the farmers’ movement will end only when the government enacts a law on MSP. In addition, the United Farmers Front said that the government will have to accept some more demands. At the same time, the government is ready to form a committee to discuss the MSP.
