Motorola Edge 30 Review: Is it worth spending Rs 30,000?

World’s slimmest 5G smartphone Motorola Edge 30. This is what Motorola claims about its latest smartphone Motorola Edge 30. But is it enough to make it worthy of spending Rs 30,000 on it? Let’s find out.

Motorola claims it is the slimmest 5 G smartphone and the largest 5G phone in India in the mid-range phone segment. Motorola Edge 30 is 6.79mm thick and it weighs just 155g. Edge 30 is the successor of Edge 20 which was launched last year in almost the same price range. This phone comes with minor updates. With 144Hz and a 360Hz touch sampling rate and stock Android, this phone gives you an awesome gaming experience. Let’s talk about some of the specifications of Edge 30.

Design:

The Motorola Edge 30 comes with a 6.5-inch pOLED Display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The back panel of the phone is made of acrylic that feels like glass but it gives better resistance to cracks over the glass. The back panel is flat with the Motorola logo in the center and 3 camera setup in the top left corner. Overall look in the back is quite impressive. It feels like a flagship phone from the back.

Edges are a bit curvy but give a wonderful in-hand experience. And due to its lightweight, you don’t feel any pain or anything even if you use it for a longer duration.

Camera And Display:

The Motorola Edge 30 comes with a triple camera setup and 50 Megapixel main camera with OIS technology and 32 Megapixel selfie camera. Due to OIS technology, you get quite stable and high-quality pictures even if the object is in motion.

Power And Processor:

Motorola Edge 30 is the first smartphone in India that comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC processor which is an upgrade of Snapdragon 778G. For the RAM you get two options 6GB for ₹27,999

and 8 GB for ₹29,999 and 128 GB ROM for both variants.

One thing that may disappoint is the battery of the phone. It packs a 4,020mAh battery which is quite low for a 5G phone. You also get a 33 Watt type C charger that can fully charge the phone in an hour.
