India vs SA: Rishabh Pant has a golden opportunity to break Dhoni’s record

Rishabh Pant will now return to the South African Test series. Pant has a chance to match former Indian wicketkeeper and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Test series record. Pant has taken 97 wickets in 25 Tests and is just three wickets away from 100 touchdowns.

Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant will have a chance to overtake Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Mahendra Singh Dhoni holds the record for the fastest 100 wickets for an Indian team. Dhoni has scored 100 wickets in 36 Tests. Dhoni has broken former wicketkeeper Kiran Moore’s record of 39 Tests. Rishabh Pant will have a chance to surpass Dhoni in the three-match series against South Africa.

Rishabh Pant has played 25 Tests so far and he can complete his 100 wickets faster than former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Rishabh Pant has made 69 catches and eight stumpings in his career. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has taken 294 wickets in 90 Tests in his entire career. Dhoni has 38 stumpings and 256 catches. Adam Gilchrist and Quinton de Kock also set the world record for the fastest 100 wickets. Both players took 100 wickets in 22 Tests.
