The PAN or Permanent Account Number is an important document necessary to complete some duties. Due to this, obtaining the card issued by the Income Tax Department is necessary. This card contains a special 10-digit alphanumeric code.
Both online and offline applications for the PAN card are accepted. Here, we’ll look at how to obtain the card online through the websites of Protean eGov Technologies Limited (formerly NSDL) and UTIITSL.

Enter information like your PAN (Permanent Account Number), Aadhaar (if applicable), birthdate, optional GSTN, and captcha.
Then click “Submit.”
An OTP will be sent to the mobile number you have on file.
Enter the OTP to download the e-PAN.
You must first change your mobile number and email address, if necessary.
How to Apply Online for a PAN Card at Protean eGov Technologies Limited
Depending on whether you are an Indian citizen or a foreign citizen, you must complete out Form 49A or 49AA when applying for a new PAN card. Remember that this is mainly for individuals who have never applied for a PAN card and do not currently possess one. The steps are as follows:
Step 1: Go to the Online PAN Application part of the NSDL website.
Step 2: Select the application type you are submitting: Changes or Corrections in PAN/Reprint of PAN Card, Form 49A for Indian Citizens, Form 49AA for Foreigners.
Step 3: Decide on a category. The options include individuals, groups of individuals, trusts, limited liability companies, businesses, governments, Hindu undivided families, artificial judicial persons, and local authorities.
Step 4: Title, Last/Surname, First Name, Date of Birth in the format DD/MM/YYYY, Email ID, and Mobile Number must be entered together with the Captcha code. submit the form.
Step 5: You will see an acknowledgment with a token number on the following page. On this page, select “Continue with PAN Application Form.”
Step 6: You will be instructed to provide more personal information, much like on Form 49A or Form 49AA. Put in all the required data.
Step 7: Determine how you’ll send the materials. You have three options for submitting application materials: physically, digitally through digital signature, and electronically through e-sign.
Step 8: List the supporting documentation for your identification, address, and date of birth on the same page. Verify the declaration’s location and application date. Examine the form, then send it. Make sure you avoid committing any errors.
Step 9: Select “Proceed” to access the available payment methods. Select between online bill payment and demand draft on Bill Desk.
Step 10: If you select Demand Draft, you will have made a DD before starting the application process since you must enter the DD number, date of issue, amount, and bank name from whence the DD is issued on the site.
Step 11: You can use Net Banking, debit or credit cards, and Bill Desk to make payments if you select that option.
Step 12: Select “I agree to the terms of service” and complete the payment. Whether you upload your documents online or deliver them individually to Protean of Technologies Limited, the PAN application fees will change.
Step 13: You will get an acknowledgment and payment receipt if you pay with a credit card, debit card, or net banking. Print out the confirmation receipt.
Step 14: Enclose two current photos with the acknowledgment receipt.
Step 15: Send the supporting documentation to Protean eGov Technologies Limited by mail or courier when the payment has been confirmed.
Protean eGov Technologies Limited will process your application after receiving your supporting documentation. You must give proof of your office address in addition to your home address proof if you have specified your office address as your preferred address for correspondence.
How to Apply Online at UTIITSL for a PAN Card
On the UTIITSL website, the process for requesting your PAN card is the same. The only difference is that you must first visit https://www.pan.utiitsl.com/PAN/#one. When you scroll down and click on PAN Card for Indian Citizen/NRI, you will be given the option of requesting a new pan card (Form 49A), resubmitting your online pan application, or downloading a blank pan form.
After completing the form and receiving the acknowledgment receipt, you must print it out and return it, along with copies of the necessary documents, to the UTIITSL office closest to you.
Fees for Online PAN Card Applications
You can request a PAN Card reprint, make adjustments or corrections online, and apply for a PAN Card. On the official websites of UTITSL or Protean eGov Technologies Limited, you can apply for a PAN Card.
If the communication address is in India, the PAN Card application fee is Rs. 93. In the case of a foreign communication address, a PAN card request costs Rs. 864. After making the payment, you must turn in the necessary paperwork. The PAN application will be handled only until the required documents have been submitted.
