Meeting On Target Killing: The government has become serious about the ongoing incidents of target killing in Jammu and Kashmir. The Home Ministry convened an important meeting today to discuss this issue. It was also attended by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha. The meeting, chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah, was also attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, CRPF Director General Kuldeep Singh and BSF chief Pankaj Singh. Let me tell you that this is the second meeting to be held within the last 15 days regarding the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

An important decision will be made on the killings in the valley

In this meeting convened on behalf of the Home Minister, a special discussion was held recently regarding the targeting of Kashmiri Pandits and Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, the security arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra starting at the end of June were also considered. During the last meeting, Home Minister Amit Shah had laid special emphasis on anti-terrorism campaigns. In this meeting, a big decision was likely to be taken by the Home Ministry to stop the target killing. But no information has come to light about this yet.
