The petition states that the information in the picture has been distorted, so it should be banned. The High Court has asked the filmmakers to respond within two weeks at a hearing on Thursday. Actress Kangana Ranaut is playing the role of Rani Lakshmibai in Manikarnika. The film is set to release on January 25.

On Friday, a day before the Republic Day, Kangana Ranaut’s films ‘Manikarnika The Queen of Jhansi’ and ‘Thackeray’ are being released. ‘Manikarnika’ is a big picture of both of them, which has been made with a budget of around Rs 110 crore.

The film is based on the life of Rani Lakshmibai, where the whole story of Manu’s childhood becoming the queen of Jhansi and her fight with the British is shown. Kangana has become ‘Manikarnika’ who has directed many sections of this film besides acting. There has also been controversy over the film, where her alleged love affair with an Englishman is being opposed. In addition to Hindi, it will be released in Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions. The film will be released simultaneously in 50 countries around the world.

The film, which lasted for about two hours and 26 minutes, was cleared by the censor board without any cuts. Censor Board Chairman Prasoon Joshi is also the lyricist and dialogue writer of the film. Experts believe that the film could earn Rs 13 to 15 crore on the first day. This time January 26 is not a holiday.
