Delhi: Political drama has intensified in the capital Delhi over the arrest of BJP leader Tejinder Singh Baga. BJP workers protested outside the Aam Aadmi Party office over Baga’s arrest. Police later arrested several BJP leaders and activists. On the other hand, the police of the two states have also come face to face in this matter. The Punjab police vehicle carrying Tejinder Baga was stopped at Crookshetra in Haryana and then brought back by Delhi Police. Let me tell you that Baga is accused of making objectionable remarks against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

FIR against Punjab Police

BJP leader Tajinder Baga’s father Preet Pal Singh Baga has lodged a complaint of assault and indecency against the Punjab police. An FIR under Sections 452, 365, 342, 392 and 295 34 was registered at Junkpuri Police Station on his complaint. The FIR states that a group of men entered his house with weapons and asked Tajinder and when Phantom Paul questioned him, he slapped him. He then beat Baga and his family. The FIR also states that Tajinder Baga asked him to let him wear the turban before taking it off, but he took it off. Phantom Paul says she suspects her son will be killed and therefore asks for his life to be spared.

The case reached the court

Meanwhile, Punjab Police filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court against the attitude of Haryana Police. When the High Court sought a reply from the Haryana government on the matter, Haryana said it had stopped the Punjab police after receiving a message from the Delhi police. The Haryana government will file an affidavit on the matter on Saturday. At the same time, the High Court has rejected the Punjab government’s demand that Baga be kept with the Haryana Police till the hearing of the case and not be sent to Delhi.

On the matter, Delhi Police said that Punjab Police had not informed Delhi Police about the arrest. When Tajinder Baga’s father lodged a kidnapping complaint, Delhi Police obtained a search warrant from Dwarka court and launched a search, when it was found out that he was being taken away by Punjab Police. Delhi Police stopped him and brought back Tajinder Baga. No Punjab police officer was arrested or arrested.
