Corona Cases and School Reopen News: Corona’s pace in the country is once again frightening. This is happening at a time when most states are preparing to open schools this month after the summer holidays. The latest news is that 7240 new corona patients have come forward in the last 24 hours in the country. In addition, 8 patients have died during this period. This is the first time since March 1, 2022 that such a large number of cases have come to light.

A day earlier, the number of corona infections in the country had crossed 5,000. At 8 am on Wednesday, according to figures updated by the Ministry of Health, after 93 days in 24 hours, 5,233 cases were found and seven people died, five of them from Kerala alone. In one day, the number of new cases increased by 41%. As many as 3,714 cases were found on Tuesday.
Maharashtra recorded the highest number of 1,881 cases, the highest number in a single day since February 18 in the state. There are 28,857 active cases which is 0.07% of the total cases. The daily infection rate has reached 1.67% and the weekly infection rate has reached 1.12%. The recovery rate of patients has reached 98.72%. It is a matter of relief that the death rate has also come down marginally to 1.21%. A total of 194.44 crore doses of Corona vaccine have been given so far, according to the Cowan portal.
