At 8 am on Monday, the number of active cases dropped to 1,34,096, the lowest in 523 days and 0.39 per cent of total cases, according to data updated by the Union Ministry of Health. The 125 deaths include 65 from Kerala alone and 18 from Maharashtra. The incidence of corona infection in the country is steadily declining. Active cases are also declining. In the last 24 hours, 10,229 new cases have been reported in the country and 125 people have lost their lives. The number of active cases also decreased by 1,822 during this period. As of 6 pm, a total of 112.87 crore doses of anti-corona vaccine have been given in the country so far, including 75.45 crore first and 37.42 crore second doses, according to Cowan Portal.
