This is important news for LPG consumers. If you keep changing jobs, you will have trouble moving the gas cylinder connection. Transferring LPG connections is a complex task. This can be done very easily if you know the rules. However, two different principles apply here as well. If the city you live in and the connection is to be moved to another location in the same city, the rule will apply separately. But if the connection is to be moved from one city to another, it will be done differently. Let us tell you how you can transfer LPG gas connection if your home address has changed.

Understand the whole process with these steps.

Step 1: To transfer an LPG gas connection, you must first go to the relevant gas agency in your city from where you are leaving the connection. There you have to assemble the gas cylinder and the regulator. The agency will then refund you the deposit.

Step 2: The gas agency will give you a form stating the gas connection you have. Then keep this form with you as it will be useful for you in your new city as well.

Step 3: You go to the gas agency in the new city and go there and show the form to the relevant agency. This will be the same form you received from your old agency.

Step 4: Now pay your gas agency. Then the transfer connection will be issued in your name and you will get it.

These documents will be required

Your Aadhaar card needs to be updated. In case of change of address, you should also update your Aadhaar card. This will give you the advantage that you will not need any kind of certificate. Apart from Aadhaar, driving license, photocopy of passbook, residential registration document, phone bill, electricity bill, voter ID card, passport and self declaration are also important documents.

Book a connection online

After opening MyLPG.in website, you will find the link of Sahaj Portal. Click on the link. Here you will see the ‘Online Connection’ option. Click here. The applicant has to upload his photo and Aadhaar number and bank account number. Registration is required after proof of identity. Once the registration process is complete, there will be an option to pay online. The reference number will appear in the applicant’s email as soon as the payment is made. You will also receive a payment announcement via email. As soon as the gas company releases your connection, an additional copy will be sent to the customer’s email.
