Article 15 Box office: Revenue exceeds Rs 30 crore, will be in the race for two weeks
The Wednesday of Article 15 was also amazing. It has earned Rs 3.48 crore. Its revenue is now over Rs 30 crore, which is a good sign for such a low budget film. In the first week, its revenue could be around 35 crores. If we calculate the run for two weeks, it seems to be close to 50 crores. Producer-director Anubhav Sinha is going to be quite happy with this earning.
It received Rs 3.67 crore on Tuesday. On Monday, the film managed to earn Rs 3.97 crore. The fall was less than 50 percent compared to Sunday. Released on Friday, the film had 5.02 crore openings on its first day. On Saturday, its revenue increased to Tk 6.25 crore. India and England had a cricket match on Sunday, yet it did well and pocketed Rs 7.75 crore. Total income is Rs 31.16 crore.
Being a hit will add another hit to Ayushman Khurana’s account. This year, he presented the hit film ‘Badhai Ho’. The subject is completely different and Ayushman Khurana has played a completely different role. Ayushman is in the role of a police officer in ‘Article 15’. Speaking of first day earnings, it was Ayushman Khurana’s second best opening. Leading the way is Badhaai Ho, released this year, which grossed Rs 7.35 crore on its first day. The same is true of the weekend, it is number two in the list of Ayushman’s first weekend earnings. At number one is ‘Badhai Ho’ which has earned Rs 45.70 crore in four days weekend.
Director Anubhav Sinha once again made a splash after ‘Mulk’ with this film. There are many good scenes in this movie. There are also some startling mysteries. Apart from Ayushman, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub and Sayani Gupta have also been acclaimed for their performances. The role of Kumud and Manoj is very long. It has been released on a very limited screen. The film has been acclaimed and has received rave reviews.
