The Amarnath Yatra is being held after a gap of two years due to the Corona epidemic, which is set to begin on June 30. Amit Shah had called this high level meeting to review the security situation.

The Home Minister gave instructions in the meeting.

  • Air services in Srinagar should be increased as per the needs of the passengers.

  • Tent City should be arranged for the accommodation of passengers on the way.
  • Special arrangements should be made to deal with the damage caused by landslides.

The incidents in Kashmir in the last few days have forced the security forces to be more vigilant about the security of the yatra. In particular, the manner in which terrorists are targeting civilians and Kashmiri Pandits in Ghai has added to the government’s woes. Additional security forces have been deployed in the entire area to protect the passengers before the start of the yatra. Drones, anti-drone technology will also be used during the trip due to strict security arrangements. In addition, the entire area will be monitored by CCTV cameras.
