'Agreed' not to be released in Pakistan

‘Razi’ will be released in India on May 11 but Pakistan will not release it. The film stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles.

The story of the film is based on Harinder Sikar’s book ‘Calling Sehmat’, where an Indian woman becomes a spy and marries a Pakistani soldier and then how to spy for her country. That is why the film is not being released in Pakistan.

It is learned that the Pakistan Censor Board believes that the film has controversial content and has tarnished the image of their country. The Pakistan Board thinks that this picture shows a negative image of Pakistan. That is why some film distributors in Pakistan have also refused to take the film. Since the film depicts the 1971 war between Pakistan and India.

A senior Pakistani distribution company told a Pakistani newspaper that it was “disappointing” that India was constantly making films on controversial issues. ‘Razi’ is not the first film to be banned in Pakistan. Earlier, many pictures including ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ were banned there.
