The next day, Irfan Sheikh, the joint secretary of Raza Academy, filed a case in Mumbai. The police officer said that a complaint was lodged against Nopur Sharma on the night of May 29 and on the basis of this a case was registered against Nopur Sharma under section 295A of the IPC. He is accused of inciting religious hatred. In addition, a case has been registered under Section 153A for fomenting animosity between the two groups.

The case has escalated

After Nopur Sharma’s statement, the matter escalated to such an extent that BJP had to suspend its national spokesperson Nopur Sharma. At the same time, the sale of Indian goods was banned in many Muslim countries. At the same time, several Islamic countries including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain summoned the Indian ambassador in this regard and strongly objected to this issue. The Foreign Ministry is still working on the issue. After this statement, mutual tension has increased in the country.
