7 new cases of Omekron variant found in Maharashtra, now total number of victims in the state is 17
In Maharashtra, 7 new cases of Omicron variant have been reported – 3 from Mumbai and 4 from Pumpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. The Maharashtra Health Department said that there are now 17 cases of Omekron in the state. On the other hand, the test report of five out of seven patients of Omekron in Pune has been negative. New cases of corona infection are also below 10,000, but the inclusion of old figures from Chandigarh, Kerala and Goa has increased the death toll. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said in Pune on Friday that six cases of Omekron type were found in Pune and one in Pampri Chinchwad. Of these, only one patient from Pune and four patients from Pampore Chantwad have tested negative for Corona, meaning they no longer have the Omicron variant. All the people were admitted to the hospital after being found infected. Pawar is also the minister in charge of Pune. Also in Goa, three people from the UK have been isolated after being diagnosed with Corona. All three are from Goa.
In the last 24 hours, 8,500 new cases of corona infection have been reported.
According to the Union Ministry of Health, 8,500 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the last 24 hours, with 624 deaths and an increase of 201 active cases. Of the 624 deaths, 256 were from Chandigarh, 225 from Kerala and 94 from Goa. All three states have released the death toll with new figures. The rate of daily and weekly infections has been below one percent. The patient’s recovery rate is improving and the mortality rate is stable.
